Trimming & Pruning

From simple trims to let the sunlight in, to more complex limb removals our Arborists can help determine what is needed and the best way to accomplish it.  Pruning Trees is necessary for proper maintenance.   It is important to understand proper techniques so that the tree isn’t harmed when cuts are made.  Most trees can be trimmed anytime yet there are others, like Oak Trees, that should only be trimmed when they are dormant or it could invite insect or disease pathogens that could kill the tree.

Pruning trees can be dangerous as it often requires the person trimming to be above ground using power equipment. For those reasons it should be done by a professional Arborist. They will have the proper equipment and safety training to complete the work.

Pruning is the process of removing branches to improve the plant’s health, increase production of flowers or fruit, minimize safety hazards and to direct growth and appearance.  Our Arborists recommend trimming trees every 3-5 years.

There are many types of trimming including, but not limited to: Complete Trim, Specific Trim, Deadwood, Safety Trim & Side Trim.
